On October 26, 2019, Gurjaani – town in Kakheti, located in eastern part of Georgia, will host the Cheese and Culinary Festival. The aim is to promote widely Georgian culinary traditions. Within the festival various activities will be held, such as exhibitions of various types of cheese and other agro products, masterclasses by Anna Mikadze-Chikvaidze – head of Georgian Guild of Cheese Producers, and degustation of Georgian cheese products up to 50 cheese variety. The festival will also showcase entertainment programs for kids, local folk music and gala concert. Luka Nachkebia and Dalila Tsaava will be the hosts of culinary master classes. During the festival, Georgian and foreign master chefs will prepare dishes using modern technologies. The final part will include the culinary show of the finalists for Bocuse d’Or.
Even though Gurjaani is the city of festivals and wine-making, it is the first time to host such a wide and diverse event. Guests can enjoy the vibes and tastes of the festival from morning all day long at Akhtala Park, Gurjaani.
The festival is held within the framework of the program "Popularization of Georgian agro-food products".
