Gourmet Restaurant
Sakhli #11 is a family-run restaurant serving well-presented Georgian home-cooking with a modern twist in elegant surroundings. The restaurant’s extensive wine lists include a range of qvevri wines (prepared in traditional Georgian fashion in large clay vessels) which are mostly sourced from boutique winemakers around the country, making it the perfect place to go off the beaten track and try wines that you won’t find in a guidebook. Georgian classics like shkmeruli (chicken in a milk and garlic sauce) and aphkhazura (a large roasted meat-ball stuffed with red barberry) are served in calm and elegant surroundings by attentive and friendly staff. The restaurant is located just off Freedom Square on the pedeianized Tabidze St, in the heart the city’s historic Sololaki neighborhood. Traditional and non-experimental, this is a must for eager culinary conservatives
